A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to non-existent email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a typographical error. The negative aspect of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of junk emails, but this problem can be fixed by using anti-spam protection software. It is also vital to keep in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you have a Linux cloud package with our company and you’d like to activate the catch-all feature for a particular e-mailbox that you’ve got in your web hosting account, it will take literally only one click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish that. A catch-all button is available next to each and every email address that you have set up under any domain name registered in your account. You can choose one single email address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature immediately, so all email messages sent to miswritten addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button again will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you’ve got active email forwarding, our system will display a cautionary notification and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature until you remove the forwarding or you can simply pick another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated without any difficulty in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created using the domain names hosted in the account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll see a small-size sign conveniently situated right next to each of them. With just one click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the menu that will show up. In case any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
