Dot NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the .NAME top-level extension is the sole TLD planned for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are popular by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to purchase john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken 3rd-level domain names remained working.

Through our company, you can purchase your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registration provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. There are no special stipulations on who can acquire a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
